Welcome to RBridge
RBridge was created to make it possible to run Erlang code within the Ruby environment. The hope is that by doing so we can take rails to new heights by embracing the distributed database called Mnesia that comes with Erlang. Now that RBridge is out in the wild we can turn our sights to creating an adapter for Ruby on Rails which will allow us to further embrace the model presented by EC2; that is, having a slice server come up complete with app servers, proxies, and databases so that no slices are bottlenecks.
For up to date information on development please visit my blog here.
None of this would have been possible without the previous work of Toshi Hirooka that created the RulangBridge project. My own work is small compared to the pioneering effort and I am very helpful for his guidance though we have never met.
